John Anderson Stops by the CMT Awards

John Anderson was asked by Leann Rimes to be part of the band during the CMT Awards show on June 9 to launch her new single “Swingin’ “ written by John Anderson and Lionel Delmore.
John Anderson was asked by Leann Rimes to be part of the band during the CMT Awards show on June 9 to launch her new single “Swingin’ “ written by John Anderson and Lionel Delmore. John was excited that Leann chose his award winning #1 song as her first single off of her new album 27 years later. By the way, Leann just turned 27 years old and said “Swingin’ “ was one of her favorite songs growing up.
Swingin’ was the CMA Single of the Year in 1983. Leann also graciously asked John to walk the “red carpet” with her before the telecast with both artists showering accolades on each other and having a ball. John says “Leann’s one of the greatest singers Nashville has ever seen and to have her include my song on her new album is truly an honor”. By the way, Leann and “Swingin” was one of the highlights of the whole CMT Award show!
