For the past four decades, Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers have traveled from Texas around the world, performing their brand of music to millions of fans through live concerts and television. Their journey has taken them to the great concert halls of America, sharing the harmony and great songs for which they are so famous. This group has a sound all it’s own. They have also sung at the White House for five Presidents. This path represents the brothers’ childhood dreams of making music together.
Larry, an accomplished songwriter, paved the way for the group, moving to Nashville in 1971 and began writing some of country music’s greatest songs for Elvis Presley, Dottie West, Johnny Cash and Anne Murray, just to name a few. Barbra Streisand, Tom Jones and Johnny Mathis have also recorded his songs making him respected in both the country and pop fields. After starring in the Broadway show and tour, “Will Rogers Follies,” Larry has written two musicals and is currently developing them for Broadway. He most recently starred in “Civil War.” Rarely do you find a talent that sings and writes with such compassion and depth. Whether he is standing alone with just his guitar or alongside his brothers and band, he is in total control of an enjoyable evening of music. He is married to Janis and has two children, Kristen and Josh. He most recently became a “grandpa” and will be happy to show you pictures on a moments notice.
